German Shepherd

The German shepherd dog is a well-muscled, confident, alert, courageous, fearless dog with a fighting instinct. It is one of the most obedient dog breeds and unfailingly loyal to its owner. It is eager to work and it has an excellent sense of smell.

Early training is vital for this active dog with need for daily exercise. It can live on farms or inside apartments in the city if walked daily. This breed does not like to be alone and cannot tolerate being closed all day. Brushing twice per week is required. In a litter, it is wise not to select the overexcited or fearful puppy because he could become aggressive.
